A new ‘Eco Hotel’ in Camborne, Cornwall

Premier Inn has opened an eco hotel in Cornwall as part of its continued drive towards environmentally sound business practice.

The 65-bedroom site features a number of in-built designs to reduce energy use.

Ground source heat pumps warm and cool rooms and water. 70% of the hotel’s hot water, heating and air conditioning will be provided in this way, according to Premier Inn’s parent-company, Whitbread.

Efficient under floor heating will be incorporated in the Trevithick Inn to avoid the need for radiators; solar PV panels will provide electricity and electric car charging points will be installed in the car park. Similarly, LED lighting will be fitted in the reception and restaurant to reduce electricity consumption.

Synergy, working in partnership with the award winning renewable energy company IsoEnergy were proud to deliver the borehole array for this project on time and on budget.
